Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 13 yo ds told me he wants to learn Spanish. I'm looking for something he can do alone because I don't have time to learn Spanish at the moment. Any suggestions? I don't see him starting this until August, so I have some time to figure it out. He will be eighth grade next year. I plan for us doing Latin too. Will this be too much? I'm tempted to make him wait until high school to get it on the transcript. Any ideas on this thought?

My 12-year-old is enjoying Duolingo. He likes that you can track your progress and "compete" with friends and family.

We have liked Duolingo for German, so I second Tracy's recommendation. It's completely self-teaching and would be good preparation for high-school Spanish. AND it's free.
