Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes. Love it. It is the closest one can get to immersion Latin (except maybe Rosetta Stone?) my kids love Dwayne and think he's hilarious. A MUCH bigger hit that Prima Latina and Latina Christiana

Perfect for ages 9 and up... though my bright 8 year old grasps it well also.

Worksheets are best used in a notebook type binder where you hang onto previous lessons for reference. If you've boys who are reluctant writers, much can be done orally with good results still.

Highly recommended.

Where did you buy yours?
Did you buy all 30 lessons at once, or did you start with the first 1-10?

I have been pricing this, and so far Timberdoodle seems to have the best price for the dvd with lessons 1-30.

Rainbow Resources has the dvds as well, but you have to buy them as lessons 1-10. then 11-20, etc.

I think they are slowly phasing out the 10 lessons each options, which is disappointing. I liked the idea getting to spread the cost throughout the year a bit more, but I'm worried if I do the first 10, it would put me near the end of this calendar year for needing the next set, and would they still be available??? Would I have to then buy the 1-30 set, thus losing money???

Thanks, Ellie, for sharing the need to reference past lessons. I am putting together notebooks for the year and may need to revisit my initial plan to put the worksheets with the daily work.

One thing I like prospectively about VL is that, after two years, should I decide to use a more in depth program like LL or Henle, I can use VL's guide to sort of "reuse" VL linking up the video lessons with those books.

Lindsay
I didn't know about the financial changes, thanks for the heads up.

Thus far we have only done the free lessons and the boys loved it, they wanted me to buy the rest but I haven't yet done so Marcy have you tried the free lessons to see if they are a good fit for your children?
