Has anyone used this book? Can you tell me something about it? I looked at samples at CHC's website but I can't really get a feel for what it covers. It seems like it's just lists of "facts" to be memorized (?)

I'm looking for something to use with my kids (11, 9, and 7) next year, to study US geography, and hoping to find something with a "living books" approach, and possibly a bit of Catholic perspective.

It is just a book of facts to memorize. I can only see if useful to actually prepare for a geography bee.

yes just facts but some really cool facts

I think it would be a great addition to a geography study. Quick and easy way to look up some facts on hard copy vs online. But you'd want to use it as a resource with another program (maybe one you create yourself) rather than using it as the base.
