Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Moms

I'm looking to start a collection of living books on multiples (twins/triplets) and I'm hoping you can help me.

Both non-fiction and fiction for both the young and old.

It is for a twins/triplets support group here in our city.

Thank you!

Seven Silly Eaters isn't "about" twins but there are twins in the book.

The Holy Twins: Benedict and Scholastica is OOP, but is widely-available used. It's illustrated by Tomie dePaola.

That's great! Thanks so much!

It must be hard finding kids books about twins/trips period!

How about the Snipp, Snapp, and Snurr and Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka series by Maj Lindman.

It's been a while since I've seen it but.. what about The Five Chinese Brothers. It's not "twins" per say but the 5 brothers all look exactly alike and each have a special talent different from the others.

I've never heard of that one before JodieLyn.

Thanks

I'm going to look into it.

Two other series.

My 8 year old is really enjoying The Bobbsey Twins series. It isn't the highest form of living literature, but I don't classify it as twaddle, either.

There is an older series by Lucy Fitch Perkins that is more geographical/cultural, and most of the books are on Project Gutenberg,
The Belgian Twins
The Cave Twins
The Dutch Twins
The Eskimo Twins
The French Twins
The Irish Twins
The Italian Twins
The Japanese Twins
The Mexican Twins
The Puritan Twins
The Scotch Twins
The Spartan Twins
The Swiss Twins

I have some in the back of my mind that I'm trying to recall...it's driving me crazy!

The Search for the Madonna is a mystery-type book set in the Great Depression Era, and the two main characters are twin sisters ... We read it as a read-aloud, and my 9yo really liked it ... I ordered it through Behold Publications, but Amazon also carries it. Here is a review, too.

Lisa and Lottie. This is originally a German book and was one of my favorite books as a child.

You are welcome, Nique. If anybody knows German, you can watch an old movie of the book on YouTube.

That is indeed a very old-fashioned German name. I'm so glad that you'll be able to pass this on to her.
