Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK, thanks to the wonderful advice from you ladies, I have decided to do geography of the world with a focus on how kids around the world live. I would like to focus on a few countries from each continent. Any suggestions for a spine for geography or other living books would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Ideally it would be good if you could borrow the following from the library to see if they fit your little ones.

Spines: DK's Children Just Like Me,and Children Just Like Me: Celebration. Global Art for hands on activities.

Perhaps Hungry Planet? although it may be way too old for your dc, I haven't actually seen this one.

Still thinking.

In the prep level of Mater Amabiliis curriculum, Michelle has picture books laid out by country for studying geography.

Lindsay,
What a great list    Also Homeschool Share has some geography titles organised into countries.
I have some picture books of different countries at Aussie Book Threads. If you are wanting a spine for Australia the Australian Book Traveller would be perfect for your age set. It is like FIAR in a way but not too overwhelming.

Homeschool Creations has some great geography printables and lesson plans with book ideas. I used this site for my country studies this year.

Living book picture book ideas for different countries and cultures can be found at Homeschool Share. They have a list of books by country. Then you can look them up individually on the site for the unit study.
