Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of a very basic list of important dates for memorization?

Everything I can find seems like too much for the grammatical stage.

Sara, do you have a copy of Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum?

Laura has a list in there for 3rd grade that's quite manageable. I've used it with my dc with success.

It looks like one date is introduced every 2 weeks.

Tami-

I do have that book and her list is exactly what I am looking for, but it only covers American history. Is there anything similar out there for world history?

You could get The Checklist by Cindy Downes It has a TON of lists for science and history.

The Homeschoolers Book of Lists might be something you'd be interested in as well.
