Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What a great find!!!!
I checked this book out of the library last week and was so impressed by the language and gorgeous pictures in this children's version of the Odyssey.
The Adventures of Odysseusby Lupton and Morden.
Even though our library has a copy, I am going to purchase one for our home library, it really is such a stunning book. I will definitely be using it to supplement my dd's history next year.
Just wanted to share!

How shallow am I? I clicked on this thinking that others were excited about the new Honda Odyssey because it has a third middle seat in the middle row and you can fit THREE car seats across, and all of them will scoot forward for easier access from the front.

Back to your regularly scheduled EDUCATIONAL thread The book does look lovely!

We don't get too excited about cars around here, considering there are only maybe 20 miles of road on the whole island.
But a good picture book? Now that's something to get excited about!
