Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wow - we finished First Form Latin on Friday! I think it's the best Latin course Memoria Press has released thus far.

We began with Prima Latina back in 2003 - so long ago! I'm afraid that, try as hard as I did, Latin didn't really 'take off' in our home, although we did learn a lot, and I think it has helped with vocab, and it will certainly be of help if any of my children decide to learn another language one day. We sure took it slowly, though - battled through it!

We completed Prima Latina, Latina Christiana I & II, some of Lingua Angelica, and then First Form. I had intended to move onto Second Form, but my teenagers tell me they've had enough, so, I think it's time to let that one go, and accept I've done my best with it.

I've only done a few lessons from Prima Latina with my youngest four, I just found it too much to try and do two Latin lessons every day, so now I can concentrate with them. I guess we'll continue with Prima Latina - I'm afraid I don't think I'll ever be a true Latin scholar; I have tried, but it still hurts my brain!   It sure is good learning, though.
