Could anyone recommend something patriotic and fun the kids and I could sing along with in the car? I want the kids to begin learning all those patriotic songs we used to sing in school.... "This Land is Your Land," "My Country, 'Tis of Thee,", etc. Our CD player is broken, so I need a tape. Thanks!

Cassettes are hard to find these days.

You should definitely check your local thrift/goodwill places. You might even consider posting a "Wanted to Buy" - WTB in the Trading Post here because a lot of people are cleaning things out right now and you might be able to help them out and benefit at the same time.

I found a couple of cassettes available at Christianbook.com - but they aren't directly to do with Patriotic songs, there's a History Songs and States and Capitals Songs cassette.

I did find my absolute favorite source of Patriotic Songs for children for you - ON CASSETTE - used at Amazon!!!!!!!! Wee Sing America - cassette. It's very inexpensive, too!! Here are the used choices. You'll have to decide how comfortable you are buying used from an Amazon Marketplace vendor. I do it A LOT!!!!! Just be sure to read the condition and the comments about the item. I saw a few that seem really nice, come with the great book and say the tape is in good working condition. Amazon has a very good policy for helping you out if an item sold through one of their Marketplace vendors (a used item not sold directly by Amazon) is misrepresented, so you have some coverage there.
