Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello everyone,

I have agreed to teach Latin to elementary students next fall. The students will be K - 2 (I think, not final). I was asked to use Prima Latina as a spine to compliment the classes offered to the older children, which use Latina Christiana I and II (taught by someone else). Oh, and the class will be about 20 students, with both day school and homeschooled students enrolled.

I did teach Prima to my oldest son. He was an early reader and we did it over two years, K - 1. I know I will need to adjust or modify the program to fit a more diverse class.

I am specifically looking for suggestions to supplement Prima and make it more interesting. I would especially like to add a visual element. That is something which Memoria's products lack. I don't think we will be using the Prima DVDs, as the other teacher and older students really disliked the DVDs for LC I.

So, comments or suggestions are welcome. Fortunately I have tons of time to get ready.
