Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used Diana Waring's History Alive?

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Lisa,

I haven't used it, but I've heard that it's got a really strong Protestant flavor. Sorry I'm not much more help -

I've read one of her books (liked it pretty well) and bought one of her history thru music tapes (didn't like it so well). It is definitely strongly Protestant, though I can't really remember exactly what irked me...but I wouldn't buy another one. I *do* recall thinking that she didn't have a very scholarly or in-depth knowledge of history, alas, though I admire her enthusiasm.

It's a very popular Protestant curriculum. Unfortunately that rules it out most of the time.
