Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Someone mentioned Hewitt's Lightning Lit on the High School forum and in looking at the site, I found their Across America for the primary grades. It's Christian, not Catholic, but it looks interesting.

Has anyone used this company or this product? They have lots of interesting looking unit studies and resources ... not glitzy but definitely helpful?

We bought Across America 6 or 7 years ago and it was disappointing. It's a series of stories about mostly fictitious characters that just so happen to take place in different states. They don't bring in state history or culture. We stopped using it after a few weeks. I do like the LL, but the other things we've used were just so-so.
