Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anybody been using the new Latin Readers and workbooks from CHC?
If you have, how do you like them, and would they work well with a 7th grader as a supplement or as a whole program?

Thanks!

I got the first book with the workbook this Winter to jazz up Latina Christiana I.We love them. The book can be used on its own but the workbook is more difficult. If we hadn't already had half a year of LC my boys would have run away shreaking at the thought of ablative noun cases! But they did have that base and they really like these workbooks and the diagramming is very helpful. I'll be ordering the rest when they are available.

Oops! I missed the second part of your question. Yes, I think they would work for a seventh grader, and yes again as a complete program. Assuming the next three are similar to the first. The books alone would be very "light" but the workbooks enforce the concepts very well. There are some errors in the answer key but nothing you couldn't figure out. (at least so far )

We are enjoying them with my 7th grader.
We kept trying to force our way through Missal Latin, and really needed a break to boost his confidence.

We completed the first 2 books this year and are now doing Hands of a Childs "Latin Roots of the Catholic Church" lapbook.
