Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

During our reading day today we read Miranda the Explorer -- A Magical Round-the-World Adventure by James Mayhew. This is a great intro to world geography, a bit like How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World, altho this one the girl is in a hot air balloon. There are simple phrases int he respective countries, landmarks etc.

A great read

Mary,

Those look so cute. I think I am going to put them on my wish list.

Mary,
Thanks so much for introducing us to Miranda. Clara and I have really enjoyed using the book for a geography study. We are currently making a lapbook about all the sites she sees while in the hot air balloon.

We agree....A great read !!!
