This is sort of history AND science...

While organizing and packing, I came across a huge pile of stuff I'd forgotten we had (I'm sure you can all understand this one!). I found 3 tapes a previous nanny employer had given me: Kids Explorer: Tell Me Why. We have Prehistoric Animals, Reptiles and Amphibians; Flight; Origins.

I have not previewed these yet and do not have much time before we move and I'm on a mission to move only things we don't need (I'm tired of moving around with boxes full of stuff we just throw out eventually - I've moved boxes full of nothing but scrunched up newspaper in the past - it's THAT bad). Has anyone seen/used these videos? Any good? Ideal age range?

ETA: Apparently there are 5 of them altogether. Here is a link to one site that sells them. I would love to hear of anyone else's opinion if you've seen these.

We just started browsing through one the tapes - the one about flying. It actually mentions dinosaurs, specifically the Pterosaurus which was the first flying creature (he explains they actually glided), he mentions that they lived some odd million years ago, yet he also says, "They must have looked quite majestic soaring over the heads of early humans." The kids won't let me rewind to hear that part again - but it's only in the last couple of years I've even heard about this idea: that man and dinosaurs co-existed. Young or old earth, I don't know - and likely will never be convinced either way - but I must say I lean towards agreeing with this guy. I can't wait to watch the Prehistoric Animals one now - and I have SO much else to do! I thought I'd just monitor, not actually watch them!
