In Mound City, KS, there is a Shrine to St.Rose Philippine Duschene. The church has an indoor shrine, and there is also an outdoor shrine. I'm not sure what the hours are. I have a friend that is able to get a key, so we can go whenever(let me know if your're interested, and I'll see what I can find out!). It's neat.

We did this trip last Oct/Nov. It was such a pretty trip with so little traffic. (We live near DC and really appreciated having so few cars on the road with us!)    We stopped at Fort Riley and in Abilene. Both were nice stops. While in Abilene we visited the Greyhound Museum. Abilene, KS.   I wish that we had stopped at the Cathedral, but if I remember correctly, it was getting late and I was trying to get to Colorado Springs that night...Oh well, next time we will stop. (My dh was flying home from Iraq and we were driving out to meet him and bring him home.)
