Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi all,
I'm a new poster...not sure I'm in the right place to post this, but here goes.

My 17yod is finishing up Jacobs Algebra. I don't want to use Forester's. On looking at MUS Algebra II, it seems that Jacob's has covered many of the topics already. I guess I'm just not sure where we go from here. I'm also in need of a programs for Algebra II and Geometry that are inherently written for independent learning. I did not find Jacob's to be that for my daughter as it had only final answers not stepwise solutions. (Is this available for Jacob's?) She needed my tutoring so often that it really has affected my time with my younger kids.

Enter Teaching Textbooks Algebra. (teachingtextbooks.com) I first heard of it in Timberdoodle. I don't personally know anyone using it. It sounds like a personal tutor! I spoke with one of the authors by phone and he answered questions I had. I just hate to invest in yet another unknown w/o comment from those in the trenches. I would love to hear of any experience with this program from those on this list.

TIA.
