Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of a good, user-friendly college algebra help-site? My ds called me from college last evening and is discouraged. Math has never been his strongest subject (he's majoring in photojournalism) and he thought he understood what was going on. When he saw the test, he simply froze and nothing looked like anything he'd ever seen before. Has anyone ever used a website where he could work on his own and figure this out?

There's a series of tutorials here

Also, perhaps he could ask his advisor if there are any on-campus helps -- I really doubt if he's the only one in the same boat

A final idea is to get one of those SAT tutoring workbooks which include ideas on how to undersatnd the problems on the test.

Mary Alice -

I'm not sure whether this site will have exactly what you're looking for, but I've gotten help from sosmath.com.

Peace,
Nancy

Thanks, ladies! I'm passing these on to ds. He sounded so "down" last night. It was his birthday, and he wasn't even going to do anything fun, just study. Can you tell I miss him alot?
