Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Today I came across a great game for my kids to practice math facts and genrally have a fun time. I came across Sleeping Queens at Barnes and Noble, but this link gets you to the company that makes it.

My 6 and 7 yo kids really enjoyed this -- altho we did have to help Maggie a bit with the number facts and some of the strategy. Definitely could be used with quick 6 yo kids ... great card game with a uniqueness that will keep older kids interested.

Hope y'all enjoy it as much as we are....

This looks great, Mary. My children love to play cards...especially when we go camping.

Has anyone tried Zeus on the Loose?

I'm thinking we would really like this one.

Some of the Gamewrights are continual favorites here - Hiss, 7 Safari, Moose in the House, Maya Quest.

I couldn't find any info on how many players are needed. Since it is usually just ds and I that would play, I need to be sure they can be played with only 2 players. Anyone know?

Theresa,

from the games I've seen (incl the one "Sleeping Queens") they all seem to take 2 or more players.....

This really seems like a great company; they started up becuase they were parents who wanted good games for their kids....the one that I mention about sleeping queens was invented by a girl who couldn't sleep one night. She MUST have been homeschooled!

Mary,
We have loved Sleeping Queens here. Even my 4 yo can play (with help of course).
