My son is a 6th grader using Teaching Textbooks. I was looking at Dianne Craft's website and she recommends that for struggling math students that math booklets that teach just one concept at a time are useful. Does anyone know of such booklets or where they can be found? Thanks!

Isn't that what the "Key to..." series does? Ah here Key Curriculum I've heard people say these are well done.

Math Mammith has a "blues series" that she sells by grade level or by topic.

That's exactly what I was going to recommend, too.

Would Kumon workbooks do the trick? Developmental Math also has one concept books that we have used. I tried Math Mammoth. It really is different. We have used all types of math - Singapore included with several children. Math Mammoth wouldn't be a bad choice, especially for the money. But it didn't work with my 6th grader. Kumon fraction workbooks were much clearer. Math Mammoth will take a lot of parent/child time, at least it did for us and the print is small. But again for the money, it won't break the bank if it doesn't work. Developmental Math is more $$.
Blessings,
Stephanie

When my son stalled in TT Alg. I (near the end) and just couldn't seem to get it, we go the "Key to Algebra" books ( I think books 6-10, maybe) They helped.

My math phobic eldest really progressed in skills when she used the Key to series. I really like how they teach fractions and algebra!

We have used the Key To series for fractions, decimals, and percents when needed and I/we love them.
