Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone discovered a favorite iPad App for Math Drills?

My oldest is entering 3rd grade, so I'm thinking about multiplication tables. To me, this seems an excellent application for a device in place of flashcards and traditional drilling, though I've not seen one (or really looked for one, I thought I'd inquire to see if anyone already had done the leg work on this one first).

A friend just recommended Rocket Math to me - a little more game-ish than straight drill, but it looks like a fun option.

I like xtramath.org, which while not an app, it has a mode that makes it work well on the iPad. I like how it tracks the student's progress and focuses on the math facts that need work. It is a more straight forward drill sort of thing, but my kids vastly prefer it to flashcards or Calculadder sheets.

My girls play with Rocket Math all the time, they love it! Math is one of those subjects where I think you need to keep it fun -especially during these formidable years. Keeping my girls loving numbers is a huge priority with me

Rocket math spans addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - I bet your boys would love it!
