My dd and I had a big talk about schoolwork this am. She wants to do math by herself. I know there is math-u-see but what other programs are on a second to third grade level that she can watch video and do work herself?
I would love ot continue Singapore with her but she has some issues we need to work out first and she is getting more and more behind.

Khan Academy (free online video) has Singapore Math 3a (standards edition) explained on video.. and they apparently plan to do more.. but I thought if you were lucky this might be just what you need without changing programs.
I also think that teaching textbooks may go down to 3rd grade.

Teaching Textbooks starts at 3rd, but you can check the Placement Tests to see if that would be a good level for her. A friend of mine mentioned that most of her kids have to go up a grade level in TT.

Are you doing the lessons in the HIG? We do Singapore, and with my oldest (who is doing 3a right now - we had to do the same thing and backtrack because we switched to Singapore when she was in 2nd grade). Anyhow, she likes to do it herself, too. I think she tolerated me doing the lesson with her before, but now I just skim the HIG and briefly go over anything I think she might need to understand. Our "lesson" is VERY informal, and quite honestly, I find myself saying things like, "Let's see if there is anything in here we need to know first..." It usually takes less than 5 minutes. I do go over the textbook with her most times (sometimes we don't need to finish all the problems), to make sure she understands the concepts, and then she is off on her own.
I also have two others doing 2A and finishing 1A, and they enjoy doing the lessons, and we have quite a bit of fun with it. Maybe it's the age, or the temperament.
The feeling of being "behind" can be a tough one. From what I understand, the Singapore levels are a year ahead (so a level 2A is really 3rd grade). Not entirely sure, but I can say that if you (or her, if she is having trouble with it) can let go of that feeling, you might really enjoy the program. I am really pleased with how well they understand how math works. And I am learning right along with them - I have been using SIngapore mental math at the grocery store - wish I would have known this before.
Also, I was thinking maybe if she is hung up on being "behind", she could set a goal for herself to finish her current book in a shorter amount of time as a personal challenge?
The Khan lectures are pretty good - I like his personality - very relaxed and conversational.
