I see many people have same concerns, but What have you done? My daughter is finishing Right Start Math Level C. I LOVE RSM as a start for understanding basics. I will start my son on Level A this year, but it will be too much to do Level D with my daughter. I was thinking Math U See, but what else is out there that does not require so muc teacher intensive work. I know my personaity and I won't be able to hadle doing two kids with RSM.

I'd encourage you to try and continue. I've got three in RSM right now. Level E, C and B. We do the math games together two days a week and then they have their individual times with me the other three days. It's been so great to see my oldest progress.
I'm staying away from more computer time if I can until highschool. But I see that Donna has lots of teens in her family! :)

We're using a combination of RightStart Math, Miquon Math, Calculadder, Singapore Math, and some books of the Key to series. Whenever we get stuck with a concept in one book, we move to one of the others. So far this approach has worked very well.

I never thought of using a combination of maths. I assumed that it may cause some confusion since math can be tought in different ways.
Marcia, I do like the idea of lessons three days and math games the other two. My only concern would be can I finish the work in a years time? Though that does go with the way of thinking that I'm trying to change I want to be more relaxed and just not worry about when am I going to finish this book!
My daughter likes to change things up a bit. I just don't know how? Computer work? Worksheets? I don't know.

I remember MANY years in traditional school that we didn't finish the book. :)
Learning can be enough when it's excellent. I am trying to learn this myself.
Excellence, not perfection.
