Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm switching two of my boys (grades 6 and 8 next year) FROM Saxon to either Math U See or Teaching Textbooks. TT is a bit pricey to buy two levels at a time, so has anyone used just the books and not the CD? Are the lessons written out clearly enough for the student to follow without listening to the tudor? I read the reviews from others about why they like TT over MUS, but anything has to be better than the struggles we've had in the past years with Saxon.

My ds is finishing up TT Pre-Algebra. For the last couple of months he has just beem reading the lesson and doing the problems.

For me, I need the cd's for the solutions in the upper levels, if I'm not doing the problems right along with him (which is what I"ve been doing for several months now). He did a lesson on his own, and we both got the same wrong answer to a problem. At that point, I needed to pull out the cd.

I thought about not buying the cd's when I move him to Algebra I, but then realized that I don't always get the problem right myself.

I would think at the lower grades, the answer book would be sufficient, though.

Thank you Tami,
I still haven't decided between the two maths, but I appreciate your comments. JMJ, Heidi
