Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have had so much fun today wiht our math work!

We used Lynette Long's Dealing with Addition -- it's all about using a deck of cards to learn math concepts like sorting, adding, and all the different ways to get to a number. She also gives a great overview of the cards in a deck -- 52 cards, 4 suits, face cards, etc.

She's got another one we used called Domino Addition that is similar but uses dominoes (and the Amazon version comes with a small set of dominoes!).

These are so much fun! She has other books for higher level -- more 3-8th grade stuff about fractions, multiplication, etc. Our library had these and altho I didn't use them for my littles they're on the list for when the littles get bigger!

Yes, these are fun. I really like using cards, dominoes, dice for math activities.

These sound like fun!

"One-to-One" by Gareth Lewis also has many good card games and maths games. The book is available from FUN Books.

I love our Math U see, but I think my boys need more practice before we move on. Dealing with Addition is at our library (amazing) and Math Chef came in too (just in time for grocery shopping. Can't wait to try that soup!). We're off to the library. Thanks for the suggestions.
