My 2 olders were both very quick with math, so I am a bit lost as to what to do with one that is not. I was trying to do a curric. on my own, so we could move at his pace. That is NOT working though. I am just getting frustrated. So....any suggestions from those that have been through this? He's in 1st grade.

Have you looked at MUS. It is working well with my youngest. I have also started my oldest on the fractions program and it seems to be clicking for her.

We tried Right Start, and I love it but it just did not click to well for him, and it is very time intensive.

I just recently got the Noble Knights of Knowledge for my 1st grader.

I think I love it.

You can order a free CD where she goes over the program. I highly recommend doing that - you will see if it is something that you think your kids will like.

ETA: the program is to be used for 1-4th grades - so if it works for your family, you don't need to buy anything else for a few years.

I've looked at Noble Knights before. It looks really neat. What do you like about the program (aside from the neat setup)? Is the manual set up with day to day lessons/games? How does it progress? We do a porfolio review at the end of the year. How would I show his progress? Thanks.
