Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 6th grader struggles in math. It takes her a long time to grasp a concept and then she can forget it if she hasn't used it in a few days/weeks. I need a great text book that is thorough at explaining concepts.

My 3rd grader is fine with math. Catches on quickly. I'm just looking for cheap, attractive and engaging for him. When I homeschooled my oldest in 3rd grade we used Abeka. I don't remember any problems with it and am tempted to get this because it will be familiar.

Thanks for tips!

We dont have any particular programme that we like for these grades - I tend to take the dc to an educational supply store and we pick a maths book together, from whats in stock there. Some colourful ones, usually, that follow our state's educational outcomes. And we use websites like Mathwirefor extra interesting maths activities.
