Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have just discovered this program and so far my kids are really excited about it. You can use their list and/or modify it to put your own words on it. It comes up with different activities for each day and a "test" for Fridays. After the children get done with the activity, they get to use their coins to play some reward type games. We have been trying to find something that works for my ds10 and he has really liked this one so far!

check out spelling time

I had some questions and emailed the lady who developed it and she very promptly responded!

Thank you for posting this. I've been searching for good spelling programs for my oldest - a horrible speller with a love of all things computer-game. I will show her tomorrow, hopefully it will be helpful for her. Thanks again!

Hollee,

Thanks -- this does look good -- and I was just thinking I needed to find a way to work on spelling more .... great minds think alike, huh?

I love it. My children think of computer time and video games, not school, so I can sneak in lots of school this way.lol And they are only allowed to play educational schooling like activities.lol

Thanks for sharing this. Their "future products" look great, too.

So far my kids are LOVING this! My ds has always dreaded spelling and now he is raring to go each morning because he too thinks computer time means video games and doesn't realize that it is helping him!

Now that this is subscription based, are any of you still using it? Ds9 really liked it, but the price is a bit steep. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is there a program we could buy that would be able to be used by multiple children, like Reader Rabbit? Also, how many of you are still using this?

I would purchase this for my two boys so that would be $70 for a year!!! I too would like to hear of more afordable options.

We are not using it this year which was a bummer for my kids. They loved it but it was just way too expensive. I'll be interested in seeing if there is anything else out there that is similar. So far I have not ordered a spelling workbook or anything, just in case.

I haven't either... still hoping to find something a bit more like spelling time.

We are using it this year for one child. He struggles with spelling and it can easily become a point of frustration for him and I. Spelling Time has allowed him to fully enjoy the spelling and the added bonus of a game after his work has made Spelling his favorite and 1st subject to do each day.
