Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We used Simply Grammar and liked the first half but not the last. I was too confusing and vague on some points (for my grammar challenged self!).

We are currently theKISS Grammar site and School House Rock and Mad Libs for practice. KISS is free and very CMish IMO, but the website is a bear to navigate through! He uses literature to teach grammar, and focuses a lot on prepositions.

I have used the Simply Grammar with most of my children,
(more as a supplemental exercise on a basic grammar principle).....it often helps them to see the basics and apply them in a creative and fun way. I first found it at the library and tried it for a while before buying it. I have not been dissapointed with it.

I used it orally when the kids were young, and we just sort of had fun with it...nothing formal. It was a relaxing way to do grammar quickly (short lessons).

I too was thinking about using this next year. How would you compare Simply Grammar to Primary Language Lessons or Intermediate Language Lessons? Of these which would you more highly recommend?
Thanks

I have all three and use all three!! Like MacBeth, we do Simply Grammar only orally and VERY relaxed. My oldest has done all three and will continue with Intermediate this next year and my second will begin Primary. The newer version available from HIllside Education is wonderful, much more appealing IMHO than the origional, and still very or even MORE CM. Goodluck!
