Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have both and the older boys have no formal grammar training yet other than a few pages of Daily Grams and general discussions about the parts of speech.

I have no clue which one to go with, and I can't really do them together because of the "prepositions first" of Easy Grammar. Does anyone here use Easy Grammar and Daily Grams without conflict?

Also I have Easy Grammar 3/4, 4/5 and 5/6 ($5 each!) and I only have Level 3 of FLL. That shouldn't matter but.......

Oh, we're also using Writing with Ease, but I don't think that would matter so much.

Thanks for any advice :)

For the younger grades, Lately I've been mostly using MODG's lesson plans for Primary and Intermediate Language Lessons published by Hillside, but I also have used all the levels of Easy Grammar. I love Easy Grammar, and I think it is important to use the Daily Grams with it to review concepts. I like to alternate between books from year to year so that we don't get burned out on any one method. So if we've done Easy Grammar one year, I may use another program the next but also review with Daily Grams from time to time.

I don't know much about FLL, but I am under the impression that it is similar to the Hillside texts, except in workbook form. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think you could use both, and still teach them their preposition lists. Save yourself some effort and teach them all the longer list from 5/6, and don't obsess about them memorizing it- adjust expectations according to age. And you just may want to skip over some of the redundant pages to get through the year.
