Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone ever used this? I'm sorting through my "curriculum wishlists" and this has been on it for literally 6 years, but I've never bought it! It's kind of expensive, and I think when I first read about it I thought it was pretty good, but now I'm not so sure. I can't tell by the previews if it is something that would be useful or not.

I have used CW for the last 4 years. I have one child in Homer B and one in Aesop A. I really like CW. But I will be very honest with you, there are a lot of convoluted steps that could be ignored. Going through Aesop a second time, I am learning what can be ignored.

Aesop is the easiest to implement. I go through the imitation and analysis the first three days and then we do the writing project on the last two days. This is not how the authors recommend it but this is what is working for us.

There is a huge learning curve with Homer. My core book has become my third appendage. I am glued to that book to figure everything out. Once I have figured everything out, it all makes sense but, again, there are all of these little steps that don't really need to be there and it takes time to figure out which steps can be overlooked and which ones are mandatory.

They say that Homer is the hardest level. We will be doing Diogenes: Maxim next year. I am holding my breath.    Oh, I should probably say that my kids like CW as well.

Couldn't do it no matter how much I wanted to! Way to involved for me the teacher and my kids didn't enjoy it. Aesop especially is one you could do via CM, just by doing retellings and different slanted narrations on Aesop's fables and short sections of fairytales!
