I had no idea that one of my dd's favorite books was a rare find. I was going to post about the book with a link, but didn't realize it would be an expensive little book.

Anyway, it is Shoes For Angela.

It's a sweet story about a little girl and her request for only shoes for her birthday. Of course, Mother tells her she only needs two pair "One for school, and one for good". After getting lots of shoes, caring for them, and out growing them she realizes that two pairs are just enough (although, "maybe she'll ask for hats for her next birthday"
