Following a similar theme to Mary's Joke Book post, I found such a treasure recently and it's been a daily companion since the beginning of the year.

A Children’s Almanac of Words at Play by Willard Espy

It's out-of-print (of course!). I found this as a library discard, I believe and brought it home on a hunch.

There are jokes, anagrams, nonsense, riddles, stories, slips, limericks, tongue twisters, poems, knock-knock jokes, and puns...and lots more. All words at play, and a great way to learn grammar, vocabularly and the nuances of the English language without knowing you're learning.

Ds is thoroughly enjoying it...and so am I! There's an entry for every day of the year, and every one is different.

Delightful, and highly recommended!
