Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just got the WWE 2 workbook for my 7 year old because it seemed so CM. I was
surprised to see that it includes dictation of rather difficult words. For those
who have used some of the books, do you find that it is "advance"? I know CM
advocates dictation to start around 9-10 years. I'm wondering whether to use the
book but to skip the dictation part OR to start the series at a later age and
pick WWE 2 at around 10 years old. We didn't do WWE 1 so that later option will
give us the opportunity to use WWE 1 at 9 years old. Then of course, it could be
that the narration expectation is appropriate for the ages but not the
copywork/dictation.

I find it advanced. I think if I were more diligent or focused, it would be fine. But... I'm not.

I started WWE 1 with my now 7 year old last year, but we did it sporadically. So I plan to finish WWE1 with him this year. I *may* go to 2 midyear when I think he could handle dictation, but...

I did WWE3 with my 3rd grader last year. It was challenging, but fine. However, again, we started late and just did it sporadically. However, WWE4 is a HUGE jump in my opinion because his dictation is a few sentences -- close to a paragraph.

So I'm going to do WWE3 with him again this year and do the weeks we didn't do. If we finish early, I'll just use her model with books of our own choice for the rest of the year.

So I think for sons coming down the pike, I'll do WWE1 in both 1st and 2nd grade. WWE2 in third grade and WWE3 in 4th grade.

After that? I'm contemplating IEW for 5th grade.

That's just my .02 cents.

And since so far her plans to finish this series hasn't come to fruition, I'm not stressed about getting to other books. And not sure if WWE4 is what I want.
