Darlene I don't know anything about the speller book but I do use the readers . Before I purchased them I had a question about the workbooks , which ones went with which readers . I wrote to the company mott media and asked them . They were very helpful , sent me a whole list of which workbooks went with what reader even the rays arithmetic workbooks and corresponding books .
I'm sure they could help you if you don't hear from anyone here .
