Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thanks to something Donna said , after last night's Mom's night , I have some questions (worries ).
This is the year, we are using Simply Grammar(10 minute mini lessons), very slowly in conjunction with our latin and the grammar associated with the American Girl unit study. That is it! This is an attempt to simplify and have more time to focus on writing.
In PA we need to standardize test with a nationally normed standardized test in 5th grade, so this is a testing year.
In the past I have used the CAT test though Seton. I think this is the year we switch forms so I do not know what will be asked this year.
Does Brigid need to know verbs, adverbs, parts of speech and parts of a sentence etc..or does she need to know which word to use in a question sentence. For example are there questions which as for the preposition, adverb, predicate, etc...?
Not sure if the CAT test will change my plan, but I may focus more on the labels of the parts of speech and parts of a sentence if exact identification is the focus.
