Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Do your older children write in cursive all the time? How important is that?

I ask, because my 12 ds hates to write in cursive, actually he hates to write period (typing is favored).

Thanks,

Simona

I can't vouch for all career fields, but in mine (admin/journalism/teaching/accounting/daycare...the list is long!), legible writing was more important...and we really didn't write much at all. We did everything by email, telephone, and word processing software.

I'd say legibility is #1. Typing skills (10 finger) are always good to have.

My husband never writes in cursive, and he has a great job (engineer), so I guess it hasn't hurt him

All the men on my husband's side will not write in cursive unless they have to. Cursive isn't a real necessity in today's world, but it's a big plus when you go to write handwritten letters or thank you cards. I think its a good skill to have, but I wouldn't place a high level of importance on it.
