Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a very early reader. She is reading Bob Books - the first set, but after a couple of times she memorizes the story. I'm looking for other very early readers that are phonics based. I have plenty of sight word based books. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

My daughter really enjoyed the Animal Antics books. (I actually prefer those to the Bob books.) Also, there's always the classic Dick and Jane books.

my dd loved the dick and janes too.

and the seton readers- we borrowed a bunch from a mom who uses Seton- she really liked those

we had the pack of the little stories for little saints from CHC -you fold them into a booklet yourself. I think its about 25 bucks for the pack.

she really enjoyed those too...

actually she just like to read but she went back to those a lot.

check out this post as well for early readers. I am now as well getting easy books for her to do at the library. And, have her read out in the real world if she can (decode the sounds into a word). My daughter the other day wanted to pump gas with me. I let her push the buttons and she wanted to know 3 words so I asked her to read them. She said she couldn't, but then I said sound the letters out. She read help, cancel (which I had to give her the /s/ for 'c'), and press. It was kinda neat!

Oh, and once I noticed my dd memorizing the bob series 1 I just bumped up to series 2. Basically she'll memorize something after 1 or 2 times reading. I'd get the next set and do that too.
