When I get more than one page of search results, I cannot open the extra pages. When I try, no results are seen.

Yes, this has been an issue for a little while now. We are aware of it but Tim hasn't had time to address is yet.
A suggestion to work around until it is fixed, is to really try to narrow down the search topic so that more of the more exact hits come on the first page. Add more search terms, search only one forum at a time, search in topic subject not just body.
Sorry - wish I could be more help. Anxious for it to be remedied here as well

Until it gets fixed, it is sometimes helpful to search using google. In the search area type:
site:4real.thenetsmith.com SEARCHTERM
only replace SEARCHTERM with your word or phrase. Sometimes google doesn't show all of the results they claim to find either, but it's worth trying. :-/

Also the more specific you can be on your search the fewer hits you'll have and the more likely you'll find what you're looking for on the first page

I use the google option often. Much faster.
