Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used Chemistry 101 (They also have Biology 101 and Physics 101).

They say it is a complete year of high school chemistry but I am skeptical. We need college prep science even if my kids choose not to go into science. But Apologia Biology has taken so long (only finished half the book in a school year), I am afraid to try Apologia physics or chemistry.

101 looks interesting but I think my husband would not like the lack of math!

Have any of you used it? Did you need to supplement with another text?

I have not don't high school chemistry at home myself, but this Spectrum Chemistry looks great to me, and they even have a separate Bridge math program to help ensure you have the math skills needed to do higher level science.

Oh, and reviews I read had many people mention they "had" to supplement it, while others said they liked that they "could" supplement it, which is the camp I think I would fall in. I like the idea of something providing the framework and basis and labs while leaving room for some living books to fill it out.

Just added that to the developing MA high-school master booklist, Lindsay! Thank you for linking to it.
