I just posted this, explaining my plan to have each of my younger sons work on a research booklet on a topic of their choice. One ds chose electronics, since he is angling for a gameboy for Christmas!

So, I looking for resources and ideas to incorporate into his study. He is 10 and a fairly slow reader, but very good at art and detail drawing.

So far, I've just brainstormed some ideas to touch on:

electricity
circuits
the manufacturing process for circuit boards and semiconductors
binary numbers
game programming-what a game programmer does but probably won't spend the time to learn anything about programming itself
game theory if I can find anything even close to age-appropriate

I haven't come up with any books or other resources to use. Any brilliant ideas out there?
