Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am really not sure where to put this topic, but remembering the squirrel topic I decided to put it here!

We never used to have any cats, but one day a few YEARS AGO one of our grown sons brought to our home a cute little kitten FOR US. He is grown and graduated from college and has a home of his own!!! :) He is into pet adoptions and found this little guy and after taking him to the vet decided we would be a great home for him!    We have a farm and other animals was his thought I guess! :)

I went along and with in a few days fell in love with the little guy, Aubie (named after the city Auburn where he was found) as did the rest of our large clan. However, it wasn't long before another cat, a female, who we named 'Just Came' FOUND US. To make a very long story short, the female after mating with him had kittens and then within a short time Aubie was gone. It was either the coyotes or she just chased him off. Then having no attachment to her, we caught her and drove her VERY FAR away, but somehow she found her way back. That is when we renamed her 'Just Came Back'!!!!

Well now it has been several years and she disappeared from who know what kind of like Aubie, but we still have some of their offspring, one female cat and three kittens!

Help! I just noticed they must be under the house. I smell an odor in my dryer which blows under the house. It is similar to a smell I was sickened by in my van that I was attributing to them.

Oh, did I mention that these particular cats are a little wild and hard to catch! Does anyone have any ideas????

God bless you,

Jill

Hi Jill!

I was wondering if you could set out some live humane traps (you can find them at the local co-op or the Tractor Supply store) and do a catch and release (only release them at the local humane society)?

The cats, which sound wild-ish, are likely spraying the underside of your house and your van...and that spray is potent and awful!!! We regularly (insert eye roll here) have wild cats that will come around and spray...and it is DISGUSTING! And it makes me CRAZY!!!! Seriously...I'm ready to don combat boots, night vision goggles, large semi-automatic weaponry...and do a search and destroy. Don't get me wrong...I love sweet little kitties...but wild cats around here are MEAN AND STINKY...and when they spray in my dryer vent...THEY ARE MY SWORN ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!! Your cats don't sound mean, but if they're stinky, you might consider a gentle relocation program for them!

Thanks for your thoughts here, Jennifer. I brought the topic up with the children and dd(age 5) had a melt down. She is definitely an animal lover.

We are on our way to buy a trap! I'll keep you posted!

Thanks again!

Jill
