Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here I was expecting an exactly 12-hour photoperiod today, but ours is a bit longer than that! 12 hrs and 9 minutes. Interesting!

Ok, I went back and checked different dates and the closest we came to exactly 12 hrs here in NC was on the 16th, when we got 12 hrs and 1 minute.

Our Denver photoperiod is 12 hr. 9 minutes. When I figured out last week it wasn't going to be 12 exactly, I thought that was strange also. It looks like many of us are not having a very "springy" first day of spring - it's 18 degrees and snowing right now.

Hey Mare -- our phtoperiod here in Greenville, SC is 12:08; we're not very springy here either with 43 degrees and overcast (but all the trees are blooming and the azaleas are about to pop so I shouldn't be too fussy.

Let's see if we can get Spring in Denver for Easter -- looks like we might be coming out for a quick visit....

Aaahhh yes, Spring in Denver: Heavy wet snow, wind, thunderstorms, lightening. Now what you really want Mary is Winter in Denver. Sunny skies, 60-70 deg., dry as a bone. But alas, you're too late

Does anything that's "SUPPOSED" to happen in Denver, ever really happen? Maybe the egg was affected by altitude?

Here in Northern Virginia we had a photo period of 12H 9M. (I was at the hospital and didn't get to try the egg. Rats.)
