Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Roots Shoots Buckets & Boots

Sharon Lovejoy

My library actually has this amazing book! I love the pictures and the way it reads like a nature journal. Plus, it has really neat topics... like planting a garden of giants, planting a medicine chest, etc. There is a section on which plants grow best together... lots to look at and learn.

I think I have more ideas than space at this point

This is my all-time favorite Sharon Lovejoy book! Did you know she has a new one out?

My son and I are drooling over this book: Onions in My Boots - CHC.

We have to garden on our balcony, so this one seems right up our alley! He is waiting for his birthday money from Grandma, then he's ordering the book and we'll go and pick up any gardening supplies he needs (mostly just soil and seeds - and we'll order the seeds from someone on the 4Real forums, I hope!).

I did not know that! I wish I had seen it for mother's day. It would have been perfect for my mom.

Has anyone read Onions in My Boots? The sample pages don't give much of a sense of what it is like overall. OTOH, I really like everything else Nancy Nicholson has done.

We just received Onions in My Boots - I'm flipping through it right now while I'm on hold right now on the phone with the insurance company - I LOVE what I see.

I'll post a review on my blog this evening, I hope.

My son has to finish his geography lesson, then he'll read it himself - it is totally written for young children (the font size is bigger, the spacing is there, the sections are short..... It appears very user-friendly!

I just found this book at the library. We are going to plant a sunflower house. Has anyone ever planted the sunflower house?

We can't wait!
