Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can someone who uses this please let me know what is covered and how well you like it?

We're using CHC, but they don't do science in K and I have a little science lover.

Does it have to be a program?

In Kindergarten (and 1st grade) for us, we used lots of picture books, living books, hands-on activities, and especially nature study to satiate the appetite for science.

I'd be glad to brainstorm some ideas so you don't feel like it's willy-nilly.

Ideas are good too - I just need something I can either plan out pretty easy over this summer or just follow the lesson plan on days I'm not feeling well.

We're already planning on doing a Magic School Bus program that I'm creating for 1st, so I also need something without too much overlap.

So you have a 1st and Kindergarten? Is there a way to combine them together, and just not have writing sections for the K?

No - Just a Kindergarten. My daughter is an only child so far. But I'm also working on 1st lesson plans as well for my long-range planning {mainly to get the books in advance through thrift shops and trading online} and know we're going to be doing Magic School Bus for that grade level.
