We are reading Penny as a read aloud. Borland has been one of our favorite 'outdoors/coutry living" authors for some time so this is a treat.
His description of spring coming to his part of New England is tremendous.
If you have time in your local library, check out the beginning of chapter 6.
I will have to get the nature guides to familiarize myself with the list of birds and plants.
