Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Reading through some of the threads, I have noticed that while many own this book, many also confess that they haven't read it. I am included in this group. It is a wonderful book, just large and intimidating.
So, I was thinking that we could read it together this year.
Anyone want to join me? I am thinking of reading a certain amount each week, and posting my thoughts/ideas. Others would be free to do the same.

Is there any interest in this?

Your sister in Christ,

Leocea

Me, I am so interested. I agree so intimidating. We have loved it, but unfortunately haven't scratched the surface of all it holds.

For example, the children might ask a question about something they saw outside and I will think of it and we'll look it up. Or when we dug out garden in the spring, we read all about earthworms...... It was so fascinating and the children still talk about the earthworm as a farmer.

I do so wish I had already taken the time to read it. I would love to have the opportunity and get my person in gear.

I'll give it a try, too.

I am going to start reading now, and post my thoughts next week. Feel free to post your thoughts of the beginning of the book. How much do you think we should read before posting? This book is so big, we will be reading it for a while. :-)

I'll admit that I don't have this...but I have read about it and even bookmarked a link to this Handbook of Nature Study blog, which you may or may not have seen before.
