Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have Seton's Kindergarten Science and Science 1 FYC (which I'd be VERY disappointed in without the lesson plans). I can't say that we love them.

I saw that CHC has free shipping for a little while with a $50 order and was wondering about their Science program: As Easy as 1, 2, 3

The most enjoyment we get out of our "science" class is going to the library to get books on a particular topic - whether or not it relates to the lesson in the Seton Science book, so I'm interested in CHC's book because of this description:

"Easy as 1, 2, 3: Catholic Overview of Science is not a science text, but a Catholic science program which begins with colorful books that the children themselves help select from the library, adding activities and experiments that weave our holy Faith into every lesson."

Experience? Advice?

Easy as 1,2,3 basically gives you a scope and sequence for grades 1 to 3 with the addition of   possible activities or discussions and some thoughts on God as creator (what does this aspect of God's creation tell us about God or what Faith based analogies can we make).

It doesn't suggest actual books other then the CHC book for grade two.

I would say that the main reason to buy it is if you want ideas for what topics to cover.

While I don't regret buying it for my middle children, I don't find that things are greatly improved from my oldest where we simply made a point of taking out, reading, and doing activities from different science books. A different topic every library visit    spending more time on more interesting material and she was well set up by grade three when we started more formal science lessons.
