Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this science kit? I am considering using it with my dd who will be in 7th grade in the fall. She is very self driven but can get excited about something and then back off and get bored again. I can't imagine where she gets it .

My main question is.... Is this kit challenging enough for a middler's science? Do I need to add a general science to cover more topics?

Too funny you posted this! I just posted this same question last week!!! I didn't get an answer, but maybe someone will reading your topic title!!!

I was thinking maybe it was a good sign that at least there were no negatives.

I have never heard of this but it looks very intriguing. I would also love to know if anyone has used it!

I've had this on my wish list for years, but never had the funds to actually purchase it. I think it will be very good judging from similar products I have from the same company. We have their fuel cell/solar car kit. It is very well done, and it has a very extensive guide to go along with it making it very appropriate for middle to early high school level. I am thinking the power house will be about the same level of difficulty. (But again, this is just based on what I know of their other products.)
I cannot imagine it would be enough to fill an entire year of science, though unless you went on some pretty significant rabbit trail, extending the lessons a good bit. I'd definitely plan on adding more if you want to stretch it to a full year.

Oh Kacky!!!!!!! Right after I posted I thought to search the forum but I just keyed in Power House .

From what Theresa said it does sound good. I'm just thinking of the $$$ at this point. Is this science actually worth it????

Just my humble opinion, but I'd say two thirds of our homeschooling budget is spent on science supplies (most of the other third on art) and I don't regret a penny I've spent on it. Can't say the same for dollars I've spent on other things...

This looks really neat! I just wanted to mention that they sell some of these kits at Amazon (I'm all about the free shipping ).
