Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Goodness! Worse than the terrorist squirrels .

Here's a little gem to tuck away for future reference:

The most poisonous jellyfish is the Australian sea wasp, or box jellyfish, with enough venom to kill 60 people. Wearing tights is an effective defence

We just went to our city's new aquarium Georgia Aquarium on Friday and I could have sat and watched the jellyfish for an hour easily. They had moonjellies, which was great since we've read that book so many times, something called Lagoon jellies, and then a huge tank of other various kinds. I was able to get some great pictures with my digital camera right through the glass (no flash). Nothing 6 feet across though!

If anyone is visiting Atlanta, I would encourage you to find time to see the aquarium. We bought annual passes and plan to go frequently. It's supposed to be the largest in the US, and I think possibly even in the world. The owner of Home Depot built it.
